The European Week of Sport is a movement campaign coordinated in Estonia by Liigume.ee, with the aim of encouraging people to be more physically active and to value healthy lifestyles.
Inspired by this initiative, we organised Spordinädala NAISTEKAS on 27 September 2025 at Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre – a day dedicated to women, their well-being and the strengthening of positive movement habits.
The event brought together over 80 women from across Estonia, representing a wide range of ages. The youngest participant was 17 and the oldest 83, with the average age being 50 years.
The day offered a diverse programme led by inspiring speakers and coaches who shared practical advice as well as personal experiences. Their stories and insights provided fresh perspectives, encouragement and motivation to support women in taking care of their health and well-being.
Event speakers and activities:
• “Movement – The Key to Brain Health” — Taire Ojala, Head Specialist of Physical Activity, Pärnumaa Sports Association
• “Reflections on Movement and Well-Being. Pärnumaa 50+ Health and Activity Study” — Kristi Kuusmik-Orav, Community Leader, HõbeKOBAR

All participants received a gift bag from the dermocosmetics brand BioNike. Prize draw gifts were provided by Hedon Spa, Plantos, the City of Pärnu and Pärnu Sports School.
