Spordinädala NAISTEKAS – Women’s Wellness & Movement Day

The European Week of Sport is a movement campaign coordinated in Estonia by Liigume.ee, with the aim of encouraging people to be more physically active and to value healthy lifestyles.

Inspired by this initiative, we organised Spordinädala NAISTEKAS on 27 September 2025 at Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre – a day dedicated to women, their well-being and the strengthening of positive movement habits.

The event brought together over 80 women from across Estonia, representing a wide range of ages. The youngest participant was 17 and the oldest 83, with the average age being 50 years.

The day offered a diverse programme led by inspiring speakers and coaches who shared practical advice as well as personal experiences. Their stories and insights provided fresh perspectives, encouragement and motivation to support women in taking care of their health and well-being.

All participants received a gift bag from the dermocosmetics brand BioNike. Prize draw gifts were provided by Hedon Spa, Plantos, the City of Pärnu and Pärnu Sports School.

The event was organised in cooperation with HõbeKOBAR (Kristi Kuusmik-Orav), Pärnumaa Sports Association (Taire Ojala, Kaisa Aasa), Pärnu Sports School (Maarja Tammai), Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre (Lily Allas), City of Pärnu (Johanna Lepp), and the University of Tartu Pärnu College (Margrit Kärp).

New booking times at the Jõulumäe Indoor Beach Arena

From the new year, it will be possible to book the football pitch and the frisbee field in the Liivahall on one day a week — Tuesdays.

Jõulumäe 40th Forest Run

Last Sunday, Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre was filled with the joy of movement and vibrant autumn colours as the 40th anniversary edition of the Jõulumäe Forest Run took place. The event brought together a large number of running enthusiasts from both near and far, and alongside the jubilee run, the Pärnu County Cross-Country Champions were crowned. In total, 316 participants took part in the 40th Jõulumäe Forest Run.

The 40th Jõulumäe forest run and walk

Come celebrate the 40th anniversary with us and spend an active Sunday in the heart of Jõulumäe’s pine forests!

Tennis and padel courts are now closed for the winter

Autumn has brought cooler weather and wet court surfaces, which means that Jõulumäe’s outdoor tennis and padel courts are now closed for the season. Beach tennis, beach volleyball and beach soccer can still be played year-round in Jõulumäe’s indoor sand hall. We look forward to welcoming you back next season. Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre Receives the “Hiker-Friendly” Label

We are delighted to announce that Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre is now officially a holder of the “Hiker-Friendly” label! This label recognises service providers who are committed to offering suitable, welcoming and practical services for hikers. Jõulumäe is located in a naturally beautiful pine forest area, features several hiking trails within the centre’s territory and is situated close to the Baltic Coastal Hiking Route — making hikers a natural and valued focus group for us.
