Jõulumäe Cross-Country Ski Series – Stage 1

On Wednesday, 7 January 2026, the first stage of the Jõulumäe Cross-Country Ski Series took place at Jõulumäe, bringing a large number of skiing enthusiasts to the tracks despite the crisp winter weather. Air temperatures ranged from –13 to –15 degrees Celsius, but good track conditions and a strong sporting spirit offered participants a true winter racing experience.

A total of 63 competitors registered for the event, with 59 successfully finishing the race. In the youth categories, 32 athletes reached the finish line, while 27 competed in the adult categories. Youth races started at 5:30 pm, followed by the adult starts at 7:00 pm. The competition took place on 1 km and 1.25 km artificial snow loops, with race distances varying according to age groups. The opening stage was raced using the freestyle technique and also marked the first stage of the Pärnumaa Cross-Country Skiing Championships. The Pärnumaa champions in cross-country skiing will be determined after Stage 2 based on the overall standings, adding extra excitement and sporting significance to the entire series. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants who took to the tracks despite the cold conditions, as well as to the organising team, track masters and volunteers whose efforts ensured the smooth running of the event. Special thanks also go to all supporters who helped create a warm and encouraging competition atmosphere at Jõulumäe.

Jõulumäe Cross-Country Ski Series – Stage 2

On Wednesday, 14 January 2026, the second stage of the Jõulumäe Cross-Country Ski Series took place at Jõulumäe, where athletes competed in classic technique races. The winter weather provided good competition conditions – the air temperature was –10.3 °C at the time of the youth start and –11.1 °C at the time of the adult start.

Jõulumäe’s 1.25 km artificial-snow cross-country ski track is open and ready to offer joy of movement and great training opportunities for both beginners and experienced skiers.

New booking times at the Jõulumäe Indoor Beach Arena

From the new year, it will be possible to book the football pitch and the frisbee field in the Liivahall on one day a week — Tuesdays.

Jõulumäe 40th Forest Run

Last Sunday, Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre was filled with the joy of movement and vibrant autumn colours as the 40th anniversary edition of the Jõulumäe Forest Run took place. The event brought together a large number of running enthusiasts from both near and far, and alongside the jubilee run, the Pärnu County Cross-Country Champions were crowned. In total, 316 participants took part in the 40th Jõulumäe Forest Run.
