Trail closures due to cycling events at Jõulumäe

Due to cycling events taking place at Jõulumäe, some trails and facilities will be temporarily closed or have restricted access.

8 August
Due to the Estonian Cup MTB Marathon Series recreational ride, activities at the main stadium will be affected from 12:00. The recreational ride will follow a specially marked route. Other trails will remain open.

10 August, 16:00–20:00 & 11 August, 15:00–20:00
The following areas will be closed due to a stage of the 38th Urumarja Cycling Tour:

  • roller ski track
  • main stadium
  • all disc golf courses
  • running trails

11 August, 10:30–13:30

  • red disc golf course closed

11 August, 11:00–13:30

  • sections of Leina Road and Linnu Road will be closed
  • Jõulumäe can only be reached by car via Metsaküla–Leina Road
  • traffic on the Lepaküla–Leina Road section will be regulated

Please be attentive and follow safety instructions when using the open trails. Please also follow all route markings and do not remove, move or damage them.

On 21 May, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Jõulumäe Sports Centre together with former and current employees, valued partners, supporters and friends. In autumn, Jõulumäe Sports Centre, in cooperation with Pärnumaa Sports Association, will offer school groups a free 90-minute cultural education programme titled “Movement Supports Mental Health and Young People’s Quality of Life”. The programme combines a mental health lecture with experiential and engaging physical activities in Jõulumäe’s natural and sporting environment.

Did you know that hiking doesn’t always have to mean long distances and heavy equipment? Sometimes, a peaceful walk along a forest trail is enough. Jõulumäe’s hiking trails offer a wonderful opportunity for this in every season. The marked hiking trails winding through Jõulumäe’s pine forests lead you through a unique dune landscape, bog areas and elevated spots with enchanting views. There are trails of different lengths and difficulty levels to choose from – 5, 10, 15 and 25 km – suitable for families, school groups and experienced hikers alike. Hiking at Jõulumäe is an easy way to combine movement, fresh air and time for yourself. Here, you can move at your own pace, notice the nature around you and discover Jõulumäe from a whole new perspective. Mariell Jüssi, Seakayakingestonia, hiking guide: “One of the most exciting surprises is Jõulumäe’s terrain – a small ‘mountain range’ hidden in the pine forest, which you don’t notice at first glance. And secondly, of course, there is the Jõulumäe team.
